5th gear on fs1??
Hello!
I have a Yamaha FS1 -80, I live in Sweden. I'm can't understand much of your language but I kind of figured there is some kind of FS1-model with 5 gears? Since there's only 4 in mine, I'm wondering if there is any possibility that I could find one for sale, and if it fits in my engine...
VERY THANKFUL for good answers!

Hi and welcome!
Yes it is true, there are some 5gear FS1's. But in our country they were officially motorcycles. They had a top speed of about 90 km/h.
In Japan there were only 5speed FS1's. A 5speed engine is something like the holy grail for the FS1. They are very rare, and if you can find one, they are very expensive. The engine itself is exactly the same as a normal 4-speed engine. So it fits right under your bike.

Ok. Thank you for the very fast answer!
So there is no possibility that I could find one, then? That's a little sad. I had a Yamaha DT50MX before, I put a 5th gear in that (the 5th gear was taken away from them when they came to sweden) and I have a gearbox left. I wish it would fit in my FS1 but of course it wont. xD
Well, thanks again.
