The Notso Special
The Notso Special
Shamelessly stealing Eightcans idea for a regularly updated build thread I give you the Notso special,I'll update when there is any significant progress. It started with an idea and a chance spotting of a chrome tank, thanks Nat and the mortal remains of my old 73 SS of which there was very little. I started collecting parts as and when I could find them here's my sofa full of parts.

I ordered a seat from Almere but it was damaged in transit so they sent me another with my next order it kind of sat higher than the look I wanted so I had a play with the damaged one. I stripped the cover off and trimmed down the foam this enabled me to pull down the cover further and the damage no longer showed I like the look of it more

I picked up a rear lamp bracket/number plate off Ebay apparently it's for a James Cadet, I liked the shape and it looked like my repro Miller lamp would fit straight on, of course it didn't and I had to spend a couple of lunch breaks messing around with it. My idea for the Notso spesh is to make it look like a 60s style Cafe racer hence the chrome tank and side panels, the tank had a small but impossible to get out ding on the top so I opted to paint the middle black I think it suits the style better anyway
