I am very happy to be working here in Holland, although it is not for long.
I bring with me 2 x fs1-f and 1 x fs1-p to restore (many parts). The bikes are in parts, ready for blasting, coating, spraying, usw (as described in the fs1e restoration book), and I am looking for fs1 friends who want to share beer, tools and fun as we restore and rebuild them
The beer is on me and I am happy to discuss payment for work you or somebody else does.....I want to put the fs1 back on the road

Hi Gino....I know you from YouTube. I like your work. Yes, you are a little too far from me. That is a shame. I have stripped my fs1's and am trying to find people/business who can blast, coat, paint, polish and zinc/nikel coat the parts. I have been advised not to have chrome work done in Holland because of the restrictions made by government. Some tell me to go to England, some tell me Germany or Belgium.

For such a simple moped this is getting confusing.

I will continue searching.

I think maybe, that buying new mudguards/fenders, wheel rims and spokes could be the best option. I have seen parts advertised in "www.moped-garage.net" and "www.slot-ockesions.nl". Are they good places to buy from? Can you recommend anyone else?
Sorry for so many comments; I have had the mopeds since 2009/10 and need to finish the projects.
One day I will come home to find that my wife had scrapped them

Almost everything at Slot Okesions are pattern parts, so if you dont mind that, you can buy them over there.
Another good webshop to look for parts is www.jmpb.com, a Dutch webshop that also sells original Yamaha parts, and they are fairly cheap.

Dank je wel, Koppel. They are good sites for replacement parts. I might need them if I cannot get my parts refurbished.
I should be riding my moped on days and evenings like today. So sad that I have boxes of parts on the floor; rims, tyres, hubs, frames, tanks, fenders and exhausts all waiting to be treated.
This afternoon I was tempted to clear the whole garage and take all the fs1 and my 6 x bicycles to the RD4 dump. One day I may do it and get on with my life.

Some of us (about 6) are going to the Brighton meeting in a couple of weeks (for me it will be the fourth time)
