At the moment with the jetting still too rich, and timing still not perfect and pipe not necessarily right for the cylinder it will do 70mph on the flat with me (fat bloke) sat upright, accelerates like a 125cc. I think with a bit more work it will hit 80 on this gearing ducked down on the tank, but think that it may well pull another tooth on the front sprocket which would be close to 90 if it pulls ok.This cylinder has been on the dyno on another engine and made a best of 21.7hp at the back wheel.
That are a lot of horses at the back wheel

jeroenvans schreef:well you'le lose some horses on the primary transmission. but stilll 70 mph is fast, especially when you say ist running rich and the ignition timing isn't set right
Yeah you're right the cylinder is rated as 24hp but that, is a flywheel reading, but it's designed for a case reed valve motor so disc duration will probably be the key to getting the most from it, will dyno it as soon as I get the basic settings as close as I can.

Been quieter at work this week, had a couple of ideas to change the Notso and picked up this G6 seat a while ago, thought I'd see if I could do anything with it as quite fancy one for the Notso. It looked like it had been flipped and then run over
While I was on a roll I thought I'd have a go at making a fly screen from a scrap bit off perspex raided from the waterworks stores aka the skip.Made a template from card to see how it looked, but hard to tell so went for it anyway.
Used card as template cut out and trimmed and cleaned up edges
Used the Co2 cylinder on my mig welder to mould it into the double curve necessary and tweaked the bottom ears so I've got something to attach some brackets to
Brackets nearly finished will try it on properly tomorrow and hope I like it
Here's the finished flyscreen fitted
